The Light of the Sea, Close to Home

Our apartments are named in tribute to the lighthouses of the Cíes Islands, whose beams can sometimes be seen from the property on clear nights. These faros don't just mark paths through the water — they are part of Galicia's maritime soul: quiet witnesses to the tides, time, and the travellers who come and go.

We chose these names not for their location, but for what they represent: guidance, calm, and clarity — the same feeling we hope every guest finds here. A place to feel safe, inspired, and in tune with the landscape.

Three Lighthouses, Three Characters

Each apartment takes its name from a real lighthouse on the Cíes Islands, with its own distinct spirit.

Faro da Porta

Monteagudo & Illa do Faro · Heart of the Archipelago

Sitting between the islands of Monteagudo and Illa do Faro, at the very heart of the Cíes archipelago, its soft light has long marked a safe passage for vessels moving through the ría. A quiet, steadfast presence — and the inspiration behind our cosiest apartment, ideal for couples seeking calm, sea views, and unhurried shared moments.

Monteagudo · Northernmost Island

Perched on Monteagudo, the northernmost of the islands, this lighthouse looks out directly over the open Atlantic. It invites you to gaze far beyond the coast. That spirit of openness lives in a bright, versatile apartment made for families or friends exploring Galicia together — wide horizons, generous space, and light that fills every corner.

San Martiño · The Wildest Island

Standing on San Martiño, the wildest and most remote of the Cíes Islands, Faro de Bicos is surrounded by raw, rugged beauty. It feels free. That untamed energy lives in our largest apartment — three balconies, direct connection to the outdoors, and a sense of space that invites groups who value nature, authenticity, and room to breathe.

To us, these lighthouses are more than landmarks — they are symbols of belonging, of arrival. And that's why they shine here, too, at the heart of Faros da Ría.
